Review by hotel critic
As a mountaineer hailing from the serene highlands of Kathmandu, I've experienced my fair share of accommodations, both luxurious and modest. My recent stay at the Westridge Motor Inn gave me pause to ponder the balance of value versus luxury. The hotel's location is convenient, and the swimming pool offers a clean, suitable space for family relaxation, but there were some noticeable aspects. Pet amenities, like a $20 fee for bringing your kenneled dog, felt steep, especially for a budget-conscious adventurer like myself. The room was well-furnished, featuring a flat-screen TV and adequate heating, albeit slow to warm up. Ravina and her husband, managing the inn, exceeded hospitality norms, hopping in to assist with any need, including early check-in and a handy coin laundry. the on-site restaurant was under renovation, leading to limited dining options. In terms of price, I found the stay reasonable, but not without flaws. While the blend of amenities-like free Wi-Fi and sun loungers by the pool-mattered, I believe potential guests should weigh these offerings against their budget. Visiting again? Perhaps, but I'll keep my options open.
